What is the Diagnostic Center in OUSD?

If a parent or guardian who lives in Oakland has a concern about the development of their child ages PreK to TK - the Diagnostic center is here to help. Sometimes families notice that their child is developing differently from their siblings or their peers - and other times a child's preschool teacher or doctor will make a recommendation for an assessment to determine whether a child qualifies for extra help in their development through special education services.
